Excellent experience shopping at Camtec. The service is authentic. They will have (or get) what you need. I was looking for a present- a particular camera that is relatively difficult to find brand new, these days. Most of the retailers I had visited said they couldn't get it within my 6 week time frame. Not only did Camtec have the model in stock but for more than 30% less than I had expected to pay! These guys are pros. I will definitely be going back for future purchases- they've certainly won a new customer, in me.

I recently purchased the Fuji X100VI from Camtec Photo and I couldn't be more impressed with the service I received. From the moment I stepped into the store, Fred and his team were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Fred went above and beyond to ensure I was able to acquire the camera, despite it being a new release. His communication and efficiency throughout the process were outstanding, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. Not only did Fred provide excellent customer service, but his passion for photography was evident in the valuable advice he offered. Excellent! Absolutely highly recommend Camtec at 26 Notre Dame Est for the expertise and customer service of Fred and Robert and the selection of whatever you may need. Fred helped me select a perfect new camera for my needs. He is so knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions and patiently explain all the features and everything I needed to know. He even set up the camera to use, as I needed it to be ready for that afternoon. Fred also gave me recommendations about my old cameras which I will be bringing in to them for service. The difference between coming to Camtec verses a big store cannot be overstated. You will never get this amazing level of personalized service or expertise elsewhere. I went on a Saturday and there was plenty of on street parking right in front. Forget 5, this is a 10 star review!

I don’t usually leave reviews but this place deserves it. I’ve been coming here to develop and buy film since I’ve gotten into it 4-5 years ago. Always friendly staff, and very fast developing turn overs! Never waited longer than a day or two for scans to arrive and they sometimes get it done on the same day if I drop it off early enough. Good selection of film as well. Love it, awesome work guys!

Getting the latest Fuji X100 was a good experience. Their customer service was top notch and they were on top of things. When I had some questions, and when I wanted to make a change in my order (switch to silver instead of black), they handled it right away. And I got my X100vi on the first day of shipping :)

These guys are great. I just ordered a used Hasselblad XCD lens from Camtec after almost being defrauded on ebay. The lens was a reasonable price and the service was par excellence. My lens left Montréal the morning they received my order and arrived here on Vancouver island the next day. I'm heading out to shoot with plenty of daylight left. Oh, and I have given the lens my "myopic's" used-gear inspection and testing and it is in pristine condition.Merci Camtec!

Camtec Photo McGill is my go to location for my analog and digital needs. The staff are knowledgeable and fun to talk to. I drop rolls off rolls of film at this location a few times a month and I'm always pleased with the results. Recently I purchased a Nikon ZF from here as well. It was a great experience and I'm happy to give them my business!

I stopped by with my friend on the way to the pool because I wanted to get information on a camera. I spoke to Robert and someone else and they were very helpful. I was about to spend 1000$ on a gx7 on Facebook market place and they educated me on how to make a smart purchase. the g7x is sold out everywhere so they showed me the different options they had and helped me with my research! I’ve worked retail before and I can tell they are genuine people who want to create a good experience for their customers. I went back today to get my camera and I met Fred who was very kind as well! If you are looking for a good camera store I would definitely recommend this one. Went out of my way to go here instead of one near my house! 10/10
